I'm 20-year-old university student. I love films. Hopefully I want to contribute to film industry in the future. I also like communicating people in English, especially speaking is so much fun. I've been working at a coffee shop and lots of foreigners come to drink coffee there. I'm enjoying talking with them in English. I play the terror sax in Ramen-Dokokai.

GIVE IT ALL ~Ganbatte Ikimassyoi~

  • 20 years ago, Shikoku Island, Western Japan.
Etsuko(15) starts high school stands on the sea shore and stares out across the wavetops, enthralled. In the distance, a rowing team glide their boat effortlessly off into the sunset. It is a magical sight. Etsuko cannot get this image out of her mind and sets her heart on joining the boating team at her new school. When she learns that no such team exists for girls, she decides to do something about it. She is begrudgingly allowed to practice with the boy's team, but has to secure at least 5 more girls to organize a team. (1998)

  • I remembered what was my 15 was like after watching this film. I really think Japanese films like this one are so beautiful in that they express human hearts somehow cleverly. At the last scene, I cried...so nice, so moving. Come back, my youthful days! Recently, TV drama which is based on this film started. You may enjoy both of TV drama and the film.
